Mechelle Robinson LMFT 137011

Mechelle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for Encouragers Family Counseling (insurance provider) and Encouragers Counseling & Training Centers (ECTC) Board Member. Mechelle's affiliation with ECTC began when she was a Masters level clinician, and post graduate Associate working under the supervision of Vicki Coffman, LMFT. Mechelle shares her journey toward licensure with pre-licensed clinicians and offers help and encouragement.

Throughout her clinical career, Mechelle has worked with children, youth, and families to provide effective, evidence-based treatment with an aim towards self-advocacy and self-management. She has presented on Autism Spectrum Disorders, the Effects of Childhood Trauma, Childhood and Adolescent Development, School Advocacy, Parent Training, and has expertise with curriculum development and training on topics specific to Behavioral Health and Child Welfare. Mechelle has 30yrs of leadership and management experience and enjoys training on Leadership and Management skills, Culturally Responsive Practice Behaviors as well as Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.

Mechelle is highly experienced in diagnostic assessment, development and implementation of behavior health and adaptive skills treatment plans and development of social skill group programming within an environment of cultural humility and trauma informed care. Mechelle values the importance of collaborative coordination of care within a diverse multidisciplinary team of specialists to promote circles of support, skill building, resiliency, and independence. In her free time, she loves being with her grand-babies, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Mechelle also is instrumental in the development and success of ECTC's Self-Determination Program assisting adults on the spectrum learn how to become self-sufficient.
