Re-create

December 31, 2019

Have you ever noticed that to re-create is also to recreate (recreation)? Think about it...

How awesome would 2020 be if you could reinvent yourself to the ideal you and ENJOY 2020 like no other year before?

Recently we celebrated Jesus' birth, but think about this: Jesus was re-created when he came to earth in Human form.   We may celebrate Jesus' birth on Christmas day, but he has been here since the beginning of time. I love this photo because it makes me think of God (large hand) holding Jesus (small hand) when God transformed Jesus to human form so we could have a relationship with him.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.

All things were created through Him and for Him.

Colossians 1:15-16 (NKJV)

The days before New Year's is a perfect time to reflect on the prior years positives and challenges. The Bible says we are to "meditate" on these things because to contemplate them is to give consideration to how we can learn from them and apply a better strategy to avoid repeating those challenges in the future. We are in fact creating a better outcome by joyfully and purposefully making a plan for 2020. Add to that plan time to recreate and it's even better. Plan to work but plan to play as well. There's an old saying, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." What this means is if you don't take time off from work you become bored with your life and boring to others. When you add recreation to your life, you add excitement. When you re-create your future, you also re-create yourself. Enjoy the possibilities of both!
