Last week, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the case for abortion would return to the states and the voters.
I believe every life has value. I'm on the side of the children as we are all God's children. I grieve for those who have aborted their child as well as the child they terminated.
Every life is precious.
As a therapist, I have worked with children who were forced to abort their unborn child because it was an inconvenience to their parents. So, two children are lost, the one who was aborted by force, and the one who was forced to abort. In too many cases, the grandparent of the unborn loses their child to suicide and they never will realize the lives of either.
Too often, a woman will come to therapy and will break-down crying about the child they chose to abort. They cry because now that they have a family, they can appreciate how much those living children mean to them and they grieve the loss of their unborn child.
Too often, men have cried helplessly that they could not save their unborn child because the decision was not theirs to make.
Too often, grandparents cry as generations of aborted babies fill their family tree and the mothers who became sterile in the process who will never get another chance.
Too often, I work with couples who wish they could have a child and who can't afford the process of adoption because abortion kills 600,000 babies a year.
Every expectant mother holds a precious gift from God as she was once God's gift to her mother.
"Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him."
Psalm 127:3
