Trust Worthy!

Encouragers Counseling & Training Centers recently celebrated our 10th year of serving Southern California residents with quality mental health services that brings hope to the hurting, healing to the afflicted, and encouragement to the wounded warriors who serve them.

Our motto is:

Excellence in Service

Excellence in Training

Excellence in Business Development

During the last decade, ECTC has helped over 780 individuals, families, and couples grow to be their best selves. We have given from our hearts, our minds, and our souls for the betterment of mankind. We have earned trust from our community who refer some of the most challenging cases of addiction, abuse, and homeless. We work with our military, active duty and veterans, and proudly can report not one has committed suicide while in our care. I believe our success is based on one thing: trusting in God to do a good work in us that we might see what is unseen in order to remedy what is broken.

There is a saying, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." At ECTC we do and teach others to do as well and always with excellence in mind. In addition to being a premiere counseling center, ECTC is also a practicum site provider to 12 nationally recognized universities who have trusted us to provide education and training to 90+ university students earning their masters degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and post graduate Social Work. Our Clinical Supervisors have been professionally trained in a multitude of modalities from Trauma Focused approaches that mitigates trauma, addiction, and abuse to Emotion Focused approaches to heal the broken hearted. We pride ourselves in offering the most current information rooted in science and evidence based. When the client has a desire to explore their spiritual connection, we offer unconditional support and encouragement. We believe our humanity is rooted in our mind, body, and spiritual connections and when all are in tune with each other, we can live a balanced life.

The third component of ECTC's business model is to develop individuals to becoming successful business entrepreneurs. It would be unethical of us to teach our students how to do the work and then expect them to magically know how to be successful businesspeople. I heard a statistic once that over 60% of graduates never obtain their license. There are many reasons for this, but one reason should not be that they don't have support setting up a professional practice. ECTC has a pathway for the most promising students where they can remain after they graduate and continue to learn as Associates in their field of study. It can take up to 8 years for a student to receive the required 3000 hours to qualify to take their board exams. We help them reach their goals quicker and with more success.

Success in these three areas, service, training, and business development, has now offered ECTC an opportunity to expand beyond the borders of California. Beginning February 2023, ECTC will be offering Telehealth services to the communities of Richmond, Virginia. Our new East Coast Division is developing relationships with universities to offer practicum students on the East Coast the same opportunities as those found on the West Coast. Please keep all our workers in your prayers as we faithfully follow where God leads us.

“The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!"

Matthew 25:21 (NLT)
