I love Southern California after a winter rain. Everything gets washed away. The dirt and grime on the roads, the sky turns a beautiful blue, and the air is crisp and clean. I take a deep breath and fill my lungs with the cool morning air and it just makes me happy.
This is how I feel when I think about how Jesus washed away my sin and made me new again.
22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses [a]indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.

As you start your new year, think about how you want to finish it. What would you like to accomplish in 2020 that you've been putting off for years. Do you want to travel? Then pull out a map and make plans. Do you want to start a family? Then have that discussion and make a plan. Do you want to end a bad relationship so you have all year to focus on yourself? Then make a plan how you can be kind and honest at the same time. Do you want to improve your relationships? Nothing done well is accomplished without making a plan.
Today, make a plan. It's a new day of a new year. Plan to live life to its fullest filled with fresh possibilities. Be the best you you can be and everything else will take care of itself. Not perfect, but perfectly you.
