The United Way of The Inland Valleys (https://uwiv.org/about) recently donated to Encouragers Counseling & Training Centers a generous grant of $9,387.20 to go toward our Leadership Program (pictured: R-L: Amanda Strickland, Kameron Kaveh, Marguerite Ferrell, Vicki Coffman, Erik Nilsen, Mary Conley and Jennifer Thornton).
The ECTC Leadership Program was designed to afford both the pre-licensed therapist the opportunity to gain clinical experience by donating hours to those seeking otherwise unattainable mental health services. People like the homeless, foster kids who have aged out of the foster care system, and wives and children who have been abandoned without financial support.
This generous gift will allow Encouragers to offer 3 part-time university Students In Practicum (Marguerite Ferrell, Kameron Kaveh, and Amanda Strickland) to offer free mental health services to the homeless of Lake Elsinore. Unfortunately, these funds are limited and will not entirely meet all the needs.
Therefore, January 15th, 2020, I'll be sharing the Encouragers Mission with 100 Women Who Care Temecula Valley (https://www.facebook.com/100WWCTV/). I think how they go about giving to charitable ordinations is a great way to make a bigger impact with individual giving dollars. Members in attendance (or on-line) write a personal check for $100 each. They listen to 3 Organizations share a 5-minute speech about their vision for the money. The women vote for the "winner" who then walks away with the grand prize.

not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver."
