Crazy Making

According to a 2019 statistical analysis, Nationwide, more than half of the people experiencing unsheltered homelessness reside in California.

According to the 2015-2019 American Community Survey, the Veteran population, age 65 or older, numbered more than 18.2 million. These Veterans served in conflicts around the world including World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and even in the Persian Gulf War.

I fear for our aging population who remain on fixed incomes that no longer meet their needs. They are having to choose between paying their bills and buying food. The cost of gas, food, medical costs, and housing has increased beyond the reach of most Americans. With the shortage of affordable housing, the influx of illegal migrants, inflation, and job loss due to medical mandates, I anticipate this number of homeless to increase exponentially. I don't know what the future holds for us, but I know currently we are dog paddling in a septic tank of political poo. The best I can recommend is to pinch your nose and hold on because we still have a long way to go in this crazy making world.

Here are some resource links for military personnel and their families.

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world,

the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

17 And the world is passing away along with its desires,

but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

1 John 2:15-17
